Reasons to love yoga

  • You can practice it anywhere and anyitme
  • It does not need a lot of equipments to practice

What you need for your yoga practice:

Non – slip yoga mat. Yoga can be rigorous at times. Its not only about sitting down and breathing. It involves a lot body movements, heat and sweat and it is important to have a non slip mat with a good grip for the practice. A good non slip mat will help you focus on your pose without slipping and sliding. It also acts as a good cushion when laying on your back, for your knees when doing knee poses and generally decrease the chances of having an accident. I have my Liforme which has served me for a long time. You can use the link to get yours today.

Comfortable Clothes. You don’t need to spend your hard earned money on expensive brands for any work out clothes. As long as one is comfortable, can move without restriction and is decent , you are okay. Be smart on your spending.

Blocks : They help a great deal to modify postures. You can also improvise and use a stack of books or whatever else is available for you. I however would recommend getting two blocks for stability and safe practice.

A Strap. It is advisable to use a strap if you have tense muscles, to open up your shoulders and to generally deepen your stretches.

Water bottle. It is very important to stay hydrated before and after a yoga class.

You can however use a leso, towel, blanket or whatever if you don’t have a mat. The most important tool for any kind of yoga is breathe and the right attitude. To be open, willing to do the work, be present, to surrender, and most importantly to breath. It does not matter what you have, what truly matters is your attitude.

I hope you find the courage to do yoga or any kind of exercise to bring you more happiness in your life. Just move your body and love your body.
